01 Are Green Card holders eligible to the benefit from the Takaful Insurance coverage?

Yes. A CIDB Green Card holder aged between 16 to 65 will be covered under the Construction Worker Takaful Insurance Scheme, based on the concept of hibah ("gift"). The coverage is covered throughout the world at all times.
02 What is the scope and amount of the takaful coverage?
The scope and amount of coverage are:

Death (due to an accident) = RM21,000.00

Death (due to sickness) = RM3,000.00

Burial expenses = RM500.00

Permanent handicap (due to an accident) = a maximum of RM18,000.00

Permanent handicap whole body (due to sickness) = RM3,000.00
03 How does a Green Card holder make a takaful claim?

Complete the UPPT-1 takaful claim form, and attach with supporting documents. The form is available at CIDB offices or on this website. The claim form must reach the CIDB office not later than 60 days from the date of death/accident.
04 What are the reasons for an insurance claim application being rejected?

Expiry of the Green Card

Age above 65 years old when the incident happen

Hospitalization due to sickness (and not accident)

A doctor's report stating that there is no percentage of permanent handicap

Involvement in an accident that did not require hospitalization

Accidents/death as a result of pursuing criminal activities

Death due to HIV/AIDS
05 What types of payments are not covered under the Takaful Berkelompok for Construction Personnel scheme?
